Baylake
Bank Provides Double Benefit with Market Animal Purchase & Donation to
Food Pantries in Poy Sippi and Berlin
September 8, 2009 - Baylake Bank
recently participated in the Waushara County Fair Livestock Auction and
donated the meat to local food pantries. Rich Moriarty, Regional Board
of Director member for Baylake Bank, purchased a steer from Tyler
Kasuboski and chickens from Joey Schmidt at the Livestock Auction. The
meat was donated to the food pantries located in Poy Sippi and Berlin.
The purpose of the Livestock Auction Project is to instill
responsibility, pride of ownership, and management skills in youth, who
often use the proceeds from the sale of their animals for educational
purposes or to invest in additional animals. Baylake Bank Financial
Center Managers Nikki Schroeder, from the Poy Sippi location, and
Jennifer Gitzel from Berlin location, feel that donating meat to the
local pantries makes the livestock purchases even more rewarding.
Donations are still needed at most food pantries, and members of the
public are encouraged to contact the nearest food pantry for more
information about how to make cash or supply donations.
Baylake Bank serves its communities
from 28 financial centers in Brown, Door, Green Lake, Kewaunee,
Manitowoc, Outagamie, Waupaca, and Waushara counties and from its
website at www.baylake.com. Baylake
Bank Central Region locations include Manawa, Waupaca, King, Fremont,
