Bank Expands Convenient Electronic Services with mBanc
August 26, 2009 - Baylake Bank
has added mobile banking to its list of convenience based services,
which also includes telephone and online banking.
Baylake’s mBanc allows customers to check account balances, view
recent transactions, and transfer funds in real time via a web-based
application for banking services that works on most handheld devices
with a browser, such as cell phones and PDAs.
“Mobile banking is the next phase in banking convenience, and we’re very
pleased to offer this significant and useful tool for our customers,”
commented Dawn Augustson, Baylake Bank eCommerce Director. “This
technology has been on the banking horizon for a few years, and has
finally developed to a point where we are satisfied that it meets our
standards, and in turn, those of our customers.”
mBanc provides comprehensive security for sensitive account data and
transaction posting. Integration with the bank’s current internet
banking helps create a seamless and secure online ability to access
accounts, whether from a PC or mobile device. There is currently no
charge for Baylake’s mBanc, but depending on cell phone carrier and
plan, there may be a charge for internet access or receiving text
messages.
“mBanc is very closely aligned with the online banking features that
customers are already accustomed to,” said Augustson. “The new and
secure technology provides many of the benefits of our
eBanc internet banking,
but is as mobile as a cell phone. For customers who currently use eBanc
internet banking, all they need is an internet enabled phone to sign up
for mBanc,” she added.
Enrollment for mobile banking is completed by logging in to eBanc
internet banking at www.baylake.com.
