Ritchie Named Baylake Bank Algoma Financial Center Manager

February 5, 2009-- Baylake Bank has announced the appointment of Russell Ritchie to the position of Financial Center Manager for Algoma. Ritchie is responsible for business development, staff development, and general management of the Baylake location at 205 Clark Street.

Ritchie earned a Master of Project Management at the Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Most recently, Ritchie worked 12 years as a print media account executive in the Algoma area for Gannett Company. He also spent three years as editor of Food Processing Magazine, and has 16 years experience as an engineering project manager, designing and building environmental and food processing systems.

He is currently active in Algoma as secretary of the community development and ad hoc ferry boat committees, chairman of the waterfront development committee, and secretary/treasurer of Algoma Utilities. Ritchie also is an active volunteer at special events for the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce and Algoma Main Street Program.
