Premier Club Holiday Gift Program Starting Soon

November 19, 2008 - Sturgeon Bay, WI---The Baylake Bank Premier Club is sponsoring a “Holiday Gift Program” designed to benefit homebound mature citizens within the Door County Community, and the public is invited to join in on the spirit of giving.

A group of volunteers made up of Baylake Bank employees is working in cooperation with Neighbor to Neighbor, Meals-on-Wheels, and the Door County Social Services Department to reach out to mature citizens by providing gifts and personal care items to those in need.

A Holiday Gift Tree will be displayed at the Baylake Bank Conference Center, located at 222 N. 3rd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, from November 24 through December 15, 2008. The community is invited to participate by selecting one of a number of holiday wish cards that are hung on the the tree, and that represent an individual whose name will remain anonymous. The cards include ideas for gift items such as soap, shampoo, lotion, holiday note paper, postage stamps, night lights gloves, and socks.

“This will be the 11th year that we are helping homebound seniors with this identified need. We know that this year’s economy is making things extra challenging, and the need is even greater than in the past,” said Premier Club Coordinator Barbara Malzahn. “Baylake Bank and Walmart provide the baskets, and by partnering with the caring members of our community, we truly strive to make the holidays brighter for our neighbors in need,” she added.

Filled gift baskets will need to be returned to the Baylake Bank Conference Center no later than December 15, 2008. The baskets will then be delivered prior to Christmas by Malzahn and her elves.
