Baylake Bank Marketer Earns National Certification

Baylake Bank Marketing Officer Erica Hickey was recently awarded the prestigious Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB).

Hickey has been with Baylake for 14 years, and is currently responsible for advertising & marketing project management. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, and is a graduate of Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek.

The CFMP designation that Hickey earned is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of financial services marketing. To qualify for the certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the financial marketing profession, pass an exam, and agree to abide by a specific code of ethics. The CFMP exam covers many areas including financial principles, U.S. laws and regulations, market research, characteristics of marketing plans, and marketing components.

ICB certifications, such as the CFMP designation, formally recognize individuals who meet established standards of knowledge and expertise in specialty areas of the financial services industry. As a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association in Washington, D.C., ICB promotes the highest standards of performance.
