Bonikowske
To Retire From Baylake Bank
Manawa, WI—One of Manawa’s life-long residents and a 30+
year community bank professional, Lola Bonikowske, is retiring from Baylake Bank
on February 28, 2007. Working most recently as a mortgage lender with the team
at the Manawa Financial Center, Lola says her most gratifying responsibility has
been “… helping customers realize their dream of homeownership.”
She became interested in banking early on and through the years gained valuable
experience as a consumer lender, mortgage lender, and office manager before
joining Baylake Bank just over nine years ago. “My very favorite responsibility
has been in lending. I feel very fortunate that I have had a career doing those
things I enjoy most,” she said.
Born and raised in Manawa, Lola and her husband, Gary, have three married
children and seven grandchildren. In addition to her family and career, Lola was
also instrumental in the progress of the Manawa community. She was one of the
founding members of the Manawa Food Pantry, and among other organizations has
served on the Manawa Area Chamber of Commerce. As she completes her couple of
weeks at work, she says she looks most forward to the additional time she will
be able to spend with family, and traveling. She says she loves to travel and
has their first trip already planned for March.
According to Bonikowske, her friend & coworker and fellow Manawa resident, AVP
Retail Banking Judy Deschler, will be serving the home financing needs of Manawa
customers after her departure. “It’s been a great experience for me…and I’m
proud to have been part of the Baylake Bank team.”
Baylake Bank Financial Center Manager Angela Hanson would like to invite the
community to help congratulate Lola on the event of her retirement. Please join
us on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 for cake and refreshments from 11:00 a.m.
– 3:00 p.m. at the Manawa Financial Center located at 431 S. Bridge Street,
Manawa.
