January 30, 2007 ---
Poy Sippi area residents can breathe a little easier
knowing that emergency services will remain close at hand, now that Emergency
Medical Services (EMS) has found a home at Baylake Bank.
The feasibility of maintaining ambulance service in the
area came into question during an evaluation of regional coverage last year.
With limited local housing available for EMSs during their shifts, there was
discussion that services might have to be located elsewhere in Waushara County.
Through the cooperative efforts of area leaders, EMS representatives, and
Baylake Bank, the necessity for relocation was avoided when the EMS services
were able to secure space in the upper level of the Baylake Bank Poy Sippi
Financial Center.
“Baylake Bank is very pleased to have been part of the team that helped arrange
this affordable, comfortable, and close-by solution for our emergency services
personnel. With only minor modifications, we were able to ensure safety &
security of the bank itself, while still allowing EMS staff with 24-hour access
to their portion of the facility. We’re glad to have this space utilized for
such a worthwhile venture, and I’m proud of the win-win situation that has
resulted from this community effort,” said Pam Strey, Baylake Bank Poy Sippi
Financial Center Manager.
The Baylake Bank Financial Center is located at N4386 State Road 49, and
provides complete financial services including deposits, mortgage & home equity
loans, business services, and more. The EMS portion of the building includes
sleeping quarters, a kitchen & living area, and a restroom.
Baylake Bank currently serves northeastern and central Wisconsin from 28
financial centers throughout Brown, Door, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc,
Outagamie, Waupaca, and Waushara counties, and from their website at
www.baylake.com.
