January 30, 2007 ---
Baylake Bank recently donated funds to help the Scandinavia
Library nearly quadruple in size. “We are very proud to be able to contribute to
the future of our community in this meaningful way,” said Kay Anderson, Baylake
Bank Waupaca Financial Center Manager. “Libraries have always provided an
invaluable service, and it’s very exciting to help the Scandinavia Library
continue to meet the needs of our communities.”
The 1,875 square feet that are being added onto the current 480 square-foot
library will provide room for several computer terminals, children’s and youth
areas, a reading area, and increased space for book collections. Enhanced
handicapped accessibility and a new handicap accessible restroom will also be
key features of the addition.
Library fundraising chair Victor Anthony commented, “On behalf of the
Scandinavia community, I would like to thank Baylake Bank for their generous
donation. The library expansion is a big project for our small community, and
Baylake Bank's gift gives us a nice boost in reaching our goal.”
Baylake Bank currently serves northeastern and central Wisconsin from 28
financial centers throughout Brown, Door, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc,
Outagamie, Waupaca, and Waushara counties, and from their website at
www.baylake.com.
